Delicious Turkish Pide Recipe

Pide

Turkish food is always on my hit list. Let it be desserts, snacks or mains..they always have a special place in my heart. We visited Turkey almost two years back and we are in love with that city! The food, the culture, the people..and CATS..ahh! only if I could go back!

Coming back to the food, we didn’t really research on food varieties when we went there and were trying anything and everything we got to eat locally and were completely avoiding any western food. So naturally, when we heard pizza, we said NO WAY! But recently we went to a Turkish restaurant and one of my friend ordered ‘Pide’ not really knowing what to expect, we were surprised to see the dish and I was so disappointed that we didn’t bother to try it from Turkey.

About this Pide Recipe

Turkish pide a delicious flat bread shaped as a boat and filled with grounded meat masala. When you fold the Dough into boat shape, make sure to twist the ends and fold the sides as a border so it can hold the fillings inside.

Feel free to play with the toppings. Add some grated mozzarella cheese if you want it cheesy. Or use beef instead of chicken or go for full veggie Or add some tomatoes and an egg as topping. It is completely up to you. In this recipe, I used minced chicken here to make the filling.
