Sticky – Honey Sesame Chicken

A yummy, sweet, spicy chicken recipe.

This is a Thai recipe which is owned by the whole world now. Seriously, Everybody loves it! The main reason I love this recipe is the sweetness of the sauce. Never have I tried a honey chicken like this before!

The sauce is the main and only source of the yumminess of this recipe. If I could, I would bathe my chicken into this sauce. If you would like it with more saucy, I would say double the ingredients! Or triple! Haha!

Note: I only added the sesame seeds as a topping for the chicken. If you want, you can add it soon after you add the chicken in the sauce and stir well. But for THAT extra fancy appearance , add it while serving.

For Coating
 500 g Chicken
 1 cup Oil , to deep fry
 2 eggs, beaten
 ½ cup Cornflour
 1 cup Plain flour
 2 tsp Chilli powder
 ½ tsp pepper
 Salt to taste
For the Sauce
 1 tbsp Sesame seed oil, optional
 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
 1 tbsp white vinegar
 2 tbsp Honey
 2 tbsp Brown sugar
 2 tbsp Sweet / Normal chilli sauce
 3 tbsp ketchup
 4 tbsp soy Sauce
Topping/ To Garnish
 Chopped spring onion
 White sesame seed

Cut the chicken into small pieces.

There are three coatings for the chicken

For the first one, beat 2 eggs lightly

Second one is cornflour .

For the third one, combine plain flour, chilli powder, pepper and salt

First, coat the chicken in cornflour.

Then dip it in the beaten eggs.

Finally, in the plain flour mixture.

Repeat the steps until all the chicken pieces are well coated.

For the Sauce

Heat a pan and add sesame seed oil into it.

Add rest of the ingredients of the sauce and mix well.

Stir until the sauce thickens and starts bubbling.

Add chicken into the sauce and combine both together.

Double the ingredients if you want more sauce.

Granish it with chopped spring onion and sesame seed while serving.

Coat the chicken first in cornflour then coat it in eggs and then in plain flour mixture Heat oil in a wok. Deep fry the coated chicken. To make the sauce, Heat a pan. Add sesame seed oil into it. (it's optional) Add all other ingredients and mix well. Add chicken into the sauce and mix well. Make sure its coated well. While/before serving, Sprinkle some sesame seed and chopped spring onion on it.
