Tahini is a game changer. There is no argument on that. But not everyone and all the time have it in their fridge. People like me craves hummus during midnight and there is no way Mr. Husband is going to sacrifice his sleep to run to the 24hrs shop just to get this Tahini. So there born a very well thought and well modified hummus. But hey ho.. I would still prefer the hummus with tahini sauce. Just saying.

Not all of us has Tahini sauce on hand when we crave tahini with on our pita bread or to snack the carrots. So here’s a simple recipe of Hummus without tahini sauce .

 240 g Canned/ Boiled Chickpeas
 3 tbsp Water
 2 tbsp Olive oil
 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
 ¾ tsp Cumin
 ½ tsp Salt
To garnish
 Olive oil

If you have skinned chickpeas , peel off the skin and place them in a blender

Add 2 tbsp of water, olive oil, lime juice, salt, garlic and cumin in to the blender

Grind into a smooth paste

Add more water to loosen it according to your taste

Garnish it with more olive oil and Serve!
