Have you ever been in a situation where you want a quick bake for tea but you’re too lazy for all those hustle and bustle ? This Orange Blender cake recipe is here for your rescue ! It literally takes TEN MINUTES – give or take- and few dishes to wash! Easy much?

About the Orange Cake Recipe

I have done a secret step in this recipe which most of you haven’t ever thought of! Which is I took one whole orange without peeling its skin off! No, it doesn’t taste bitter, instead it turns the cake into more flavourful . When I tried it first time, I was praying for it to not taste weird! To my surprise, it turned the cake into a flavour bomb! When you cut the orange with the peel, make sure to remove any seeds. This is quite important as the seeds may turn the Orange cake bitter.

I added an extra sugar glazing to top the cake but if you want, you can avoid this step and serve as it is. Or add any other topping of your like. I would say the orange blender cake itself is delicious and doesn’t need any extra topping.

Easy, but flavourful orange cake made using a blender. You can prepare this cake in less than 10 minutes !

 1 large Orange
 2 Eggs
 6 tbsp Sugar
 ½ cup Oil
 1 cup Plain flour
 ¼ cup Milk
 1 tsp Baking powder
 ½ tsp Baking soda
For Glazing
 1 cup Icing sugar
 4 tbsp Water / Milk

Cut the orange into small pieces, with the peel. Make sure to remove any seeds.

Transfer the Orange pieces, 2 Eggs, Sugar and oil to a blender and blend into a smooth paste.

Transfer this paste into a bowl.

Sift the Flour, baking powder and baking soda into the same bowl and mix the batter well.

Then add Milk and combine well together.

Pour this into the cake tray and bake at 170C for approx. 35-45 min.

Do the toothpick test to check if the cake is done, if the inserted tooth pick doesn't come out clean, bake for few more minutes.

Once done, allow it to cool down.

For Sugar Glazing

Add Sugar and water/milk to a bowl and mix until the sugar dissolves.

Pour this on top of the cake and allow it to set.
